The seventh generation Honda Civic is an automobile
manufactured by Honda from 2000 to 2005. It debuted in September
2000 as a 2001 model. Its exterior dimensions remained the same
as its outgoing predecessor, with a significant increase in interior space,
relegating it to compact car size status. A notable feature was the flat rear
floor which provided better comfort for rear seat passengers. This generation
ditched the front double wishbone suspension, previously used in the fourth to
sixth generation and replaced by MacPherson struts. This generation was the
last to offer 4WD variants.
